LULO REINHARDT and YULIYA LONSKAYA - GYPSY MEETS CLASSIC!
Lulo Reinhardt is a charismatic, world-famous Sinti guitarist with a big name on international stages and a mixture of gypsy jazz, flamenco and South American rhythms. Today he is one of the most important, authentic and unmistakable “voices” in Sinti music with a musical genius giving the appearance of utter effortlessness.
Lulo, the great-nephew of legendary Django Reinhardt, has dedicated his life to music and the guitar. At the age of five, the tradition of mastery of the instrument was passed on to him by his late father, Bawo Reinhardt. Over the years, Lulo has broadened his musical horizons and immersed himself in the music of other cultures. Today he tends towards a fusion of styles between flamenco, latin and Brazilian jazz - always with a nod to his gypsy influences.
Belarusian guitarist and singer Yuliya Lonskaya makes hearts beat faster with the brilliance and versatility of her guitar.
After successfully completing her studies as a soloist at the University of Music in Karlsruhe, she was a scholarship holder at the renowned Accademia Musicale Chigiana with the world-renowned Prof. Oscar Gighlia in Siena.
Her concert life is particularly rich in performances with the most prestigious orchestras in Russia, such as the State Symphony Orchestra “Novaya Rossiya” (conducted by Yuri Bashmet), Symphony Orchestra “Russian Philharmonic”, Vladimir Governor Symphony Orchestra, Academic Chamber Orchestra “Musica Viva”.
Yuliya's guest performances already cover many countries: USA and Puerto Rico, Germany and Austria, Russia and Ukraine, Cyprus and Bulgaria, Poland and Moldova, Spain and Italy. She was the first Belarusian guitarist on the stage of the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow.
Yuliya Lonskaya has had a fresh and unique style with her own classic, folk, jazz and bossa nova arrangements since 2010, in which the Russian soul unmistakably shines through.
Gypsy Meets Classic - What happens when two different guitar worlds like gypsy and classical collide? It's like two planets colliding in space and igniting a big fireworks display. They play Latin, flamenco, Brazilian jazz and gypsy music and offer their listeners guitar at the highest level.
