The Black Robin Inn, Kingston

Folk in the Barn is known for producing cosy intimate concerts with the UK’s best Folk /Roots and Acoustic performers, in the most beautiful and atmospheric local venues.  This new venture sees us going ‘even cosier’ and hosting some concerts in the warm, welcoming and popular Black Robin Inn, in the beautiful village of Kingston at the head of the stunning landscape of the Elham Valley -  an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Starting and finishing earlier than usual, in order to allow people to get home in good time for work the next day – our guinea pig for this new idea is our good friend and superb singer – songwriter – Dorset’s own Reg Meuross.

Reg Meuross is described as a ‘master storyteller’ (Pennyblack Music). Using clever and imaginative lyrics, Reg has earned his reputation as one of the most talented folk/roots musicians around. From gigging in village halls to The Royal Albert Hall, Reg consistently delights his audiences with songs of life, love and injustice; all soulfully delivered with melodic high-tenor vocals, exemplary guitar playing and a warm, engaging style which draws you into his music.

“One of Britains finest Singer/Songwriters” – Time Out Magazine.

“Reg tells it with Soul” – Nick Lowe

“I love the Dreamed and the Drowned, it’s stunning” – Pete Townshend
“One of the finest singer-songwriters this country has ever produced” – Mike Harding
